 LA PITTURESSA ONGOING

Anna Paparatti is 'La Pitturessa' (a neologism coined by her grandson, a much more effective and poetic way of saying pittrice, paintress). She has been painting all her life and yet was "discovered" at the tender age of 80.

 

 

A free and happy life recounted in a ongoing documentary (editing is starting nowadays) by director Fabiana Sargentini, her daughter, and cinemtographed by me. With love and curiosity the footsteps are retraced from Calabria to Paris (where she also recently returned to prominence) and Rome. The artists, their works, theater, the 1970s and India in the background as a constant passion that runs through everything.

 RITORNO ALLE ORIGINI

Fare bene con poco (e con pochi, visto il contesto...). Nell'ambito del Festival Cinema Zero: Sguardo Zero, a Trento, il 24 e il 25  ottobre. Un occasione per cercare di trasmettere qualcosa di utile a chi si avvicina al fantastico mondo del raccontare con immagini in movimento (e suoni). Dal "low budget" al "no budget" fino al "negative budget", come non farsi tarpare le ali dalla scarsità di mezzi sia economici che tecnici. Per un cinema indipendente e libero di osare.

IL GIOCO DELLE PARTI

After some years is finally available online this video regarding... bodies! I shot it with and for Fabiana Sargentini who proudly directed it in 2016. Twenty-one naked bodies, lying on a white background. Legs, feet, breasts, penises, and vaginas. For the faces there is a different space. Twenty-one bodies: the one of the director together with those belonging to friends, actors, people passed by chance. The camera flows with fluid movements as if it were in front of a landscape, creating panoramas on skin, on imperfections, on scars, on moles, on hairs, on ripples. The twenty-one bodies become a single, indistinguishable body. There is no aesthetic ambition, no perfection, no tonicity: the aim is to enhance the beauty of every body at any age. Next to the images, to these flesh parts, are twenty-one voices that belong to those bodies, and that tell the relationship with each one of us body: what makes us love it, what we can hate of it. TANA LIBERA TUTTE E TUTTI!

E' stato un percorso faticoso e coinvolgente. Molti i limiti e le delusioni ma anche le scoperte e le speranze. Il Bilancio Partecipativo 2018 di Bologna ha permesso di raccontare come potrebbero essere oggi i parchi gioco se si volesse smettere di immaginarli come parcheggi per bambini. Potrebbero essere luoghi belli che arricchiscano la città di vere e proprie opere d'arte, laboratori esperienziali che permettano alle potenzialità dei bambini di svelarsi. "TANA LIBERA TUTTE E TUTTI! Parco giochi della Resistenza al parco Melloni" è stato il secondo progetto più votato tra le proposte del quartiere Porto-saragozza. E' stata solo una tappa di un cammino che proseguirà: #BastaParchiGiocoNoiosi!

"FARSI MALE FA PARTE DEL GIOCO"

Su Nido, rivista tedesca per famiglie, nel numero di ottobre/novembre, è uscita un'intervista in cui si parla sia di "The Impossible Berlin Playgrounds Guide" e di quello che mi hanno insegnato gli spielplatz, che della "Fase 2": il tentativo di esportare il modello dei parchi gioco berlinesi anche in Italia, partendo da Bologna (con il progetto "Tana libera tutte e tutti! Parco giochi della Resistenza al parco Melloni"). Grazie a Hilmar Poganatz per l'intervista e a Norman Konrad per le foto scattate di notte al Drachen spielplatz di Friedrichshain a Berlino.
